Inside The Seam workshop: reconstructing dog-chewed shoes
Updated: May 12
Maker: Paola Z & Tessa A | Item: Clergerie metallic heels | Service: Surface restoration
These Clergerie heels came to The Seam after a little incident with our client's puppy, Daffy. Through a combination of new leather components in a matching silver, and restoration of the straps and in-sole, we were able to restore them to like-new.

Maker Paola Z is a North London-based leather repair specialist, focusing on shoes and bags. She removed the based of the heels from the soles entirely, removing the most damaged components of the heels and recovered them with new silver metallic leather. The same recovering process was applied to both heels in the pair, to ensure an even finish.

The heels were then re-affixed to the soles, and compressed for a durable repair. Finally, Maker Tessa, a leather restoration specialist, used matching pigment to restore away from of the damage that remained on the upper of the shoe.

To the naked eye, these shoes were never nibbled on, and they are looking just like new again. Have a well-worn pair of heels that need some love? Click here to begin your leather restoration booking and get a quote from our Makers in 48 hours.

It's truly amazing to see the transformation of those dog-chewed Clergerie heels back to 'like-new' condition! That kind of meticulous care, bringing something damaged back to its best, reminds me of how we often seek seamless solutions for travel, too. Ensuring you have reliable connectivity, especially when exploring a beautiful country like Turkey, is definitely one less thing to worry about. I work with Cellesim, and we help travelers stay connected easily; if you're planning a trip there, you might find our resources on https://cellesim.com/ar/esim-turkey quite helpful for making sure your phone is ready to go without any fuss.
The best part of Canuckle for me is the short format. It is easy to fit in a quick puzzle between other things.
The physics are what caught me off guard with Drive Mad. You really have to slow down before some of those awkward jumps.
