1. General Garment Dyeing Disclaimer

Garment dyeing is a specialist treatment intended to refresh, transform, or extend the life of a garment. Results will vary depending on the fabric composition, original colour, construction, age, wear, and previous treatments applied to the item.

Dyeing is not an exact manufacturing process and cannot guarantee a uniform or identical finish across all materials and garment components.

2. Colour Matching & Appearance

Colour will be matched as closely as possible to the requested shade. Exact colour matching cannot be guaranteed.

Digital colour references or swatches may vary from screen to screen and should not be relied upon for exact colour accuracy.

Where possible, physical swatches will be used for more accurate colour matching.

Colour appearance may vary under different lighting conditions, including natural daylight and artificial lighting.

Deep, rich, or highly saturated colours may not always be achievable depending on the fabric’s dye absorption properties. In some cases, a lighter or softer version of the requested colour may be the maximum achievable result. If the original garment colour is uneven or faded in places, dye may absorb differently across the fabric, resulting in lighter or darker areas.

3. Fabric & Material Limitations

Different fibres absorb dye differently.

Synthetic fibres and components, including polyester, acrylic, synthetic stitching, zips, trims, elastics, or threads, may not absorb dye or may dye to a different shade than the main fabric.

If the fibre composition is unknown, a dye test may be required before proceeding.

Dyeing results on synthetic materials cannot be guaranteed.

Garment labels may absorb dye unless removed beforehand.

4. Staining, Wear & Uneven Absorption

Although garments are cleaned prior to dyeing, hidden stains, marks, or areas of previous wear may become more visible after the dyeing process.

Dye may not absorb evenly into stained, damaged, or worn areas of fabric.

Areas affected by sun fading, bleaching, whitening treatments, perspiration, or previous chemical exposure may absorb dye differently from the surrounding fabric.

The Seam should be informed prior to dyeing if the garment has previously been dry cleaned or treated with whitening or stain-removal products.

5. Texture, Shrinkage & Finish

Some fabrics may feel slightly less soft after dyeing, particularly delicate fabrics such as silk.

Minor shrinkage may occur during the dyeing process and may cause the garment to reduce slightly in size.

Natural variations in texture, finish, and softness are normal outcomes of garment dyeing.

6. Washing & Colour Care

Although the dye is intended to be permanent, some residual colour transfer or colour run may occur initially after dyeing.

Customers are advised to hand wash dyed garments separately in cold water following treatment.

Care instructions provided after dyeing should be followed to help preserve the longevity and appearance of the colour.

7. Acknowledgement of Results

By proceeding with garment dyeing, you acknowledge and accept that:

Results will vary depending on the garment’s fabric, construction, age, and condition.

Uneven dye absorption may occur due to stains, wear, or fabric composition.

Certain components may not absorb dye.

Colour, texture, softness, and finish may differ from the original garment.

Dyeing outcomes cannot be guaranteed to exactly match requested references or expectations.
