Summary
Lead the execution of The Seam’s product development during a major phase of platform expansion.
This role will work closely with the engineering team to deliver a series of significant product features over the next 6 months. You will manage the day-to-day workflow of our remote development team, ensure product design quality, and guide features from concept through to final release.
About The Seam
The Seam is building the infrastructure for care & repair in fashion.
Through our platform, customers book repairs and alterations delivered by a distributed network of Makers across the UK. We partner with leading retailers including adidas, H&M Group and Primark to embed repair services directly into the customer journey — reducing returns, improving fit and extending the life of clothing.
Founded in London, The Seam is entering its next stage of growth and we are now looking for a Head of Operations to help scale the business.
The Role
This role sits at the centre of product delivery at The Seam.
You will lead the execution of several large product features, working closely with our remote engineering team to ensure projects move efficiently from planning through to release.
The role requires strong product design instincts, excellent organisational skills, and experience managing distributed development teams. You will also support product strategy, helping ensure development aligns with the company’s broader goals.
Key Responsibilities
Product Delivery

Lead the execution of key product initiatives over the next 6 months

Translate product priorities into clear development plans and sprint workflows

Ensure features are delivered on time and to a high standard
Engineering Team Coordination

Manage the daily workflow of the remote development team

Organise sprint planning, stand-ups and task prioritisation

Ensure the team remains focused, aligned and productive
Product Design

Work closely with the team to shape product features and user flows

Ensure strong design quality and clarity in how new features are implemented

Maintain a high standard of user experience across the platform
Product Strategy

Support the founder in refining product priorities

Help translate strategic goals into clear development roadmaps

Identify opportunities to improve the product and customer journey
Release Management

Oversee the product release process

Test and review features before launch

Provide final sign-off when products are ready to ship
What Success Looks Like
Within the first 6–12 months you will have:

About You
You are organised, decisive and comfortable leading product development in a fast-moving startup environment.
You are confident working with engineers and translating product ideas into clear execution plans.
You likely have:
5+ years experience in product management
Experience managing remote engineering teams
Strong product design and UX instincts
Experience delivering complex product features from concept to launch
Excellent organisational and communication skills
A proactive, execution-focused mindset
Bonus experience:
Experience working in early-stage startups
Experience building marketplace or logistics platforms
Interest in fashion, sustainability or circular economy
